Today in Disney World the temperature is 82 degrees. In Central PA, it’s 32 with a ‘feels like’ of 23. UGH, I want to go back to Florida! Oh well, in another couple years hopefully! I have much to share about our trip but I’m going to wait until after the holidays to do so. In the meantime, if you’re heading in that direction and have any questions feel free to ask! I love talking Disney and everything about our trip is still very fresh in my mind! We had a fabulous time and can’t wait to go back! Now… on to that hot cocoa!
Today’s 25 Days of Christmas activity was to attend our local Christmas parade. It’s always very short (we live in a VERY small town) but nice and festive and it gives the kids a chance to see Santa arrive.
On our ride home the kids requested hot chocolate. I said sure (because I was FREEZING and it sounded wonderful) without even thinking about whether we had some in the house. As luck would have it… we had none. So, I went to the pantry to see what I could find.
I came up with a box of brownie mix, dry milk, and dry French vanilla creamer. I tossed it all into a Rubbermaid container, gave it a good stir, and made a few mugs of hot chocolate hoping for the best. The result was amazing!
Very creamy and chocolaty, delish! So, if you find yourself in a hot cocoa conundrum this is your recipe!
Homemade Hot Cocoa
1 box of brownie mix
1 packet (makes 1qt) dry milk
1/3-1/2 container of dry French vanilla creamer
* Stir together in an airtight container and make as you would regular dry hot chocolate. I used 2 heaping tablespoons per mug.
