T25 Alpha Down (almost) Beta to Go

Hello our faithful readers.  I hope that each of you have had a wonderful Christmas season with friends and family and are gearing up to ring in the New Year.  It’s hard to believe that we are headed into 2014 in just a few, short days.  Our family’s Christmas was wonderful, as we were able to celebrate as a family of three.  The little man enjoyed playing with his toys that will grow with him.  At first I was a bit skeptical about buying a 6 month old anything, but then I realized he would not be getting anything else until his 1st birthday in June.  So…we picked the munchkin up a few things.  He is one happy camper.

Now, as promised…an update on my T25 journey.  If any of you were expecting this last week, as you rightly should have been, I am sorry for the week delay.  Last week was technically week 5 (the last week of the alpha round), however I did not feel as though I was ready to begin the Beta round this Monday.  So…I decided to do a second run at week 4 and I did week 5 this week.  I was thankful I decided this because the program this week had Total Body Circuit slated for THREE times.  Ugh!!  That’s right…my arch nemesis (in workout form) was completed Monday, Thursday, and Saturday.  I do have to say, that while I loathe this workout I found myself doing less and less of the modified versions of things by week’s end.  I was rather pleased.  Tomorrow is to be just the Stretch workout, but I’m going to go all in and throw in the Lower Body workout as well.  One day the lower half of my body will thank me.

Monday begins the Beta round.  With new workouts I’m looking forward to the challenge it will bring.  Beta includes: Core Cardio, Speed 2.0, Rip*T Circuit, Dynamic Core, and Upper Focus.  During the Alpha round, Speed 1.0 was by far my favorite.  I am anxious to see if I enjoy Speed 2.0 just as much.

Now, for the nitty gritty.  Results, you ask? I am pleased to announce that there have been visible results.

1. Definite increase in strength.  By the end of Alpha round, I was modifying significantly less.  My brother Seth was trying to horse around with me on Christmas day, he commented on my increase in strength…I’m known as the weak one.  I am also able to do boy pushups.  Before starting the T25 program, I could not.

2. Definition of muscles.  When I flex my arms, without people around, I can actually see a muscle forming.  I also see definition in the abs, calves, and quads.  So. Many. Lunges. and. Squats.

3. Clothes fitting much better/becoming larger.  I refuse to buy new clothes until I am finished with Beta.  Good thing I have belts. 🙂

4. Probably the best thing that reassures the success I’m having with this program is the comments of others.  They have asked me what I have been doing to get fit and I smile and sing the praises of T25.

So, in a few short weeks…for only 25 minutes a day, I have seen tremendous results.  With 2014 quickly approaching, and the drive we have as humans to make resolutions…I encourage you to resolute to give yourself 25 minutes a day to become stronger, fitter, but most importantly healthier.  As stated in the mid program review I did here, the purchase of this program will be MUCH less than the cost of the gym membership you are contemplating.  You will see results, it will only take 25 minutes of your day, and you can complete it in the privacy of your home.
